Money, Money, Money.....

We started our money unit this week and we have already learned SO much!  We are focusing on the penny, nickel, dime and quarter.  Our goal is to be able to recognize each coin by name and tell the value of each one. 
We had lots of money activities this week including a SMARTboard activity:

This week, we also started "reading" to our peers.  At least 2x a week, I will choose a child to pick a story off the bookshelf, and they will "read" the story to the class.  They have really enjoyed this activity, and wanted to do more of it last week!  I look forward to seeing each child share their experience!  :)   Here are a couple of students who had the opportunity to "read" to us, this week:
