Green Eggs and Ham!

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday on Wednesday, we read his famous story Green Eggs and Ham. When we were finished, everyone was served green eggs and ham to eat for a snack!  The class graphed whether or not, they liked to eat green eggs and ham and 17 of them said, YES!

The rest of the week was filled with Dr. Seuss books and fun activities that went along with them.  After making Cat in the Hat, bags, we practiced tossing balls into the hats.  We read The Foot Book, then piled all of our shoes in the middle of the rug, and had a race to see how fast we could find our own shoes, and put them back on our feet.  :)

We spent this week reviewing the letters/sounds that we have learned so far this year; introduced 5 new sight words; practiced our money skills; and read a variety of books by Dr.Seuss.  It was a fun and busy week!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
