Polar Express/Pajama Day

We had a great time on our Polar Express day, the last day before Winter Break!  We all enjoyed wearing our pj's and slippers, and participating in the FUN the Polar Express can bring to our classroom.  :)

The Polar Express conductor (aka...Mr. Baze) greeted us at our classroom door, with the sound of a train whistle, and calling "All aboard the Polar Express!"  We listened from our seat on the "train" as he read The Polar Express book.  We all received golden tickets, which the conductor punched for us and ended storytime by handing out silver bells to everyone in the class.

Afterwards, we sipped on hot chocolate with candy canes, while listening to music from The Polar Express soundtrack.

We even made edible Christmas trees for our class party!

We also enjoyed having pizza for lunch in our classroom and watching The Polar Express movie with Mrs. Holly's class joining us!  We ended the day with our class party (with LOTS of goodies), opening presents (students and myself...thank you for all the gifts!), and taking home presents to our family, that we had made for them.

It was a wonderful day, my favorite day all year!  I hope each and every one of my students enjoyed this day as much as I did.  My wish is that our Polar Express day, is a memory they will cherish for a long time.  Enjoy your Winter Break, have a WONDERFUL holiday and I will see you in 2011!!
