Today was the first day of Kindergarten! It was SO much fun interacting with all 25 students! During the next couple of weeks, we will work to establish our routines and become comfortable with our daily schedule. We started today with our group rotations during center time, and it wasn't bad for the first day of school. :) This was the first time I had ever introduced the center rotation on the first day of school, but felt we could accomplish it. And WE DID!
In addition to GREAT kids, I have awesome parents! My classroom parents have already brought in TONS of supplies, and are pulling items from our "Class Wish List." This extra help is appreciated! We plan to take pictures tomorrow for our STAR STUDENT board, and will start that rotation after Labor Day.
The next few days we have songs and activities to go along with classic books such as Chrysanthemum; Chicka Chicka, Boom Boom; and The Kissing Hand.
We are off to a great start to this school year! :)
